Throughout the many years that we have spent engaging in conversation with people on the subject of whether or not there is a Creator, one of the responses that has surfaced the most frequently is:
Scientific Argument:
There is no evidence that can definitively prove that the Creator exists because He has never been observed, heard, or touched by anybody.
As you can see, the purpose of this argument is to show that there is no need for a Creator in the universe.
Let's start off by examining the evidence that suggests there is a Creator out there.
Rebuttle to the Scientific Argument:
Scientific progress over the last two centuries has produced breakthroughs in technology and research that were unimaginable in the 18th century. Many people who are fascinated by science have attempted to disprove the existence of a Creator by relying on scientific evidence. This is a gross misapplication of science, which is readily apparent when we consider the manner in which science draws conclusions about the world around us.
There are several steps involved in conducting a scientific experiment: First, the object under investigation is placed under conditions of extreme heat or cold in a laboratory, and the findings are then examined and interpreted. For scientists to even consider the possibility of a non-existent Creator is absurd, because they cannot test the hypothesis using the scientific method on that Creator.
Employing the rational method, which consists of using all five of our senses to examine every aspect of the universe, is the only way to provide evidence that a Creator does in fact exist. From a rational standpoint, everything in the universe is limited and is not eternal. The term "limited" is used to define something that has a beginning and an end, as well as a set of distinct characteristics.
In addition to all the things we can perceive, there is man, life, and the universe.
a. Let's take a closer look at the assumption held by certain scientists, namely that the universe is limitless and has been around for all of eternity.
The observable universe has boundaries, despite its vastness. As a rational consequence, we can conclude that the universe is limited and not eternal, given that it had a beginning. Moreover, no scientist is able to demonstrate the universe's limitlessness using empirical evidence. When scientists assert that the universe has been expanding since the Big Bang, they acknowledge that it is limited and not eternal; otherwise, it could not expand.
b. From a rational vantage point, let's examine the reality of life!
Life manifests with a person's birth and concludes with their death. Due to the fact that life can only exist in a living body and ends when that body dies, it is only rational to conclude that life is limited.
c. Let's examine at the reality that lies behind man.
A person's height, weight, and body shape will reach a plateau at a certain point in their life, beyond which they will be unable to grow further. This leads us to conclude that even man is limited and not eternal.
d. Man, life, and the universe all depend on something else to continue functioning. Let's examine this further, shall we?
In order to guarantee their own survival, human beings have certain physiologic needs that must be met. Without something to eat and drink, he will die. Interdependence is a characteristic shared by all living beings. They must feed on other creatures in order to maintain their own levels of nutrients. The water cycle is driven by sunlight, which in turn is dependent on galaxies, combusting material, and other such things.
The preceding discussion leads us to the conclusion that everything that we are able to sense, i.e man, life, and the universe, is constrained by the following three restrictions:
i) All of them are limited
ii) All of them are dependent
iii) None of them are eternal
Rationality dictates that there must be a Creator who is both self-sufficient and unlimited, who has been around from the beginning of time, and who is responsible for the creation of all that exists in the universe.
